GammaSafe™

SGT

Datakey Electronics' new GammaSafe™ portable memory token has been designed to survive medical device gamma sterlisation of up to 45kGy with no data loss.

The GammaSafe™ memory token is an ideal solution for disposable medical devices that attach to a base unit that is controlled by a microprocessor/microcontroller. Traditionally these disposable attachments did not have any active electronics as they could not withstand gamma radiation, this has now changed. Building on our existing range of rugged portable memory devices which can withstand EtO and autoclave sterilisation, the new GammaSafe™ token is ideal for medical applications such as product authentication, anti-counterfeiting, usage tracking, limit use, parameter uploads and calibration information uploads.
